Text Box: It was a cool beginning of spring morning when my niece Christine Hentze got a horrifying text message from her daughter Tara. “Aunt Lucy, passed away, last night!” Tara went on to explain that teachers and students were all huddled around sobbbing. My Aunt Lucy is beloved by everyone and had been very sick for two weeks. Christine quickly called her father (my brother Joseph). I was already into action after speaking with my Nephew James, Christine’s husband. I immediately put a call to Aunt Lucy’s house and my cousin Christopher, Aunt Lucy’s son. No Answer On Both Phones. In panic mode I ran out to my car, leaving mom unattended and drove to Aunt Lucy’s house. No one was home. I remembered she had a chiropractors appointment, so I went to the chiropractor and she wasn’t there. Meanwhile, my brother Joe was in a state of shock and I was beginning to lose it. Within an hour my niece Christine received another text from her daughter Tara, “Never mind,” with no explanation following it. When I arrived home thinking the worst, I was going to start contacting hospitals in the area. Before I could pick up the phone my cousin Christopher called to see what I wanted, and my Aunt Lucy called on the home phone to see what I wanted. She had just returned from Stop and Shop. Unfortunately, a friend of Aunt Lucy and fellow school aide Louise had passed away. The story ended up on a good note for our family, but not without giving us all an emotional roller coaster ride.
